At Home Training Creativity
Do you need a fancy set of dumbbells, kettlebells, squat rack or bench to get an intense and effective workout in? Absolutely not! Yes, it sucks having every single gym in Canada closed, so that means we are stuck doing our workouts at home; myself included.
By simply looking around the house you can get creative and use various objects throughout your house for external loading, which is a fancy term to add weight to your exercises. I’ve been using our dogs for weights and doing front squats with them. I am certain they are getting sick and tired of being picked up!
You can use milk jugs, wine bottles, a loaded back pack, laundry detergent jugs, soup cans, your pets, your children or your significant other! Even Hafthor Bjornsson “The Mountain” from Game of Thrones put out a challenge on social media to squat your partner!
